Our Gallery Exhibitions

Year. 2023 - 15 NİSAN DÜNYA SANAT GÜNÜ ULUSLARARASI ONLINE RESİM SERGİSİ

International Onlıne Painting Exhibition. 13th April 2023. An application was submitted via email before the April 13th deadline, and all participation was completed for the submission of two original oil paintings, each bearing the titles "New Zealand Tui" and "Hunterville." Each artwork embodies a distinct essence and exudes a unique aura that captivates the viewer. I started this oil painting back in 2018, inspired by my country Aotearoa to the far away hills of Gallipoli. While Tui birds are peacefully safe in their natural surroundings.

The original painting had a red sky with mountains, and a lot less trees. Then in 2021-2022, I decided to repaint the whole painting again. Changing its original aspects and meaning, because I was unsatisfied with the layout and the way it was painted. The old paint was dry during its many years of waiting, making it a perfect time to paint. But painting over the existing oil paint was certainly a challenge.

After completion, I forgot what the original painting looked like. But from different perspectives. I must say that the result is so much better, and I'm thrilled with it. In this oil painting on canvas, I've tried to capture the true essence of the Tui bird, a symbol of peace and serenity from my birthplace in New Zealand. The Tui's vibrant colors and unique song evoke a sense of life fulfillment, confidence, and spiritual harmony, reminding us of the powerful connections we share with nature. Through this piece, I invite the viewer to experience a moment of tranquility and reflect on the beauty of the natural world.

My Country Exhibition

Year. 2023 - My Country (TR) Project Manifesto.

DoArt Art Gallery announces an exhibition called "My Country", which brings together a global art community and features works from artists from every country. This exhibition aims to create a comprehensive art platform by bringing together the universal language of art, cultures, perspectives and stories of different countries.

Each artist will participate with four 15x15 CM works, which will present a unique perspective on the artist's home country. Artists will not be subject to any restrictions on material and subject matter; they will be able to freely express their own stories, perceptions and identities with their creativity.

If an artist's work is sold, the artist will be asked to create a new work and add it to the exhibition in order to ensure the continuity of the project. This approach ensures that the project remains in a dynamic structure and is constantly evolving.

The exhibition will first be held at the DoArt Gallery in Istanbul and will then be exhibited in different countries. The final goal is to create a large collection of works by outstanding artists from all over the world and turn this collection into a global art exhibition.

"My Country" aims to create intercultural dialogue, celebrate the universal power of art and create a platform for diversity by giving artists the freedom to express their own stories and countries. We invite all artists and art lovers to share our goal of bringing together a world-class art community.

The world is a great work of art that each of us is a part of and we aim to create a first in the history of art by bringing these pieces together with "My Country".
Medium. Acrylic paintings. Titles. "First to Aotearoa", "Kiwi Classic Carss", "Past the sheep", "Urban tui".
